Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, law, finance, business or related field.
• 9+ years’ related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery and/or emergency management experience, ideally with a government agency or professional services firm.
• Possess a professional designation, such as CPA, CFE, or CEM.
• Excellent project and time‑management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the confidence to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
• A quantifiable history of business development success.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride‑share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with a variety of services associated with the management and compliance of disaster recovery funding made available through complex grant and stimulus programs (FEMA, HUD CDBG‑DR, ARPA).
• Manage large projects for states and local governments, develop client relationships, establish and implement engagement processes.
• Oversee teams who monitor federally funded projects.
• Travel and presence at client sites, along with in‑office presence, will be required.
• Lead business and practice development initiatives.
