Job summary

EY seeks a seasoned professional to join its Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice in the United States. The role focuses on managing and auditing disaster recovery funding programs (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR, ARPA) for government and public sector clients, leading engagements and driving compliant project delivery.

You will collaborate with EY teams across service lines on business development, coordinate with state and local governments, and travel to client sites as needed,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, emergency management or related field.
• 5+ years related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery and/or emergency management experience, ideally with a government agency or professional services firm.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CFE, or CEM.
• Experience with disaster management, preferably in a professional services firm.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple engagements.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills; able to communicate complex technical concepts.
• Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation; driver’s license recommended.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engagement teams to support government and public sector clients on disaster recovery funding management and compliance.
• Manage large projects for states and local governments; develop client relationships; coordinate with local governments to support project development; verify compliance and monitor federally funded projects.
• Work with EY professionals across solutions on business development initiatives.
• Travel and presence at client sites and in-office presence are required.
