Job summary

EY is seeking a senior professional to lead government and public sector engagements focused on disaster recovery funding and compliance. You will collaborate with engagement teams to manage grants, FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR, and ARPA programs, ensuring rigorous transaction testing and program adherence.

Travel to client sites and in-office presence are required, with opportunities to grow within EY's forensics insurance and federal claims services practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, emergency management or related field.
• 5+ years of related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery or emergency management experience.
• Achieved a professional designation, such as CPA, CFE, or CEM.
• Disaster management experience, preferably within a professional services firm.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the confidence to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations

Responsibilities

• Work with engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with services associated with managing and compliance of disaster recovery funding.
• Lead interactions with local governments to support project development and verify programmatic requirements.
• Collaborate with EY professionals across different solutions on business development initiatives.
• Travel and presence at client sites, along with in-office presence will be required.
