Switch is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel, Labor & Employment to provide hands-on advisory support across multi-state operations. You will partner with the People Team and senior leadership to manage disputes, investigations, and regulatory changes while shaping practical policies and employee‑relations strategies.

The role emphasizes direct client relationships, practical problem-solving, and proactive risk management, with opportunities for remote or hybrid work within a nationwide

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and an active license in good standing to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5–7 years of substantive labor and employment law experience gained in-house, at a law firm, or in government.
• Experience advising on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Advise the People Team and business leaders on federal, state, and local employment laws and compliance.
• Handle employment disputes, investigations, and agency matters from initiation to resolution.
• Oversee workplace investigations, risk assessments, and policy development.
• Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements and advise on handbooks, non-competes, and separation agreements.
• Counsel on employee privacy, data retention, and discovery obligations.
• Support employment law aspects of mergers, restructurings, and site openings/closures.
