Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director of Global Learning & Development for the Oncology Business Unit to translate business goals into capable learning solutions. You will lead a network of internal and external experts, design effective learner experiences, and measure outcomes against strategic goals.

You will partner with HR and business leaders to align priorities, oversee curriculum design, and ensure resources and sponsorship support critical initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Combination of experience in facilitating / delivering learning solutions, sales and/or relevant pharmaceutical/oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for the Oncology Business Leaders.
• Align business leaders on implications of decisions on learning and development.
• Develop depth of business understanding to maximize impact on outcomes.
• Determine learning strategies based on identified needs and gaps.
• Prioritize and manage portfolio of work and Learner Experience.
• Create line of sight for divisional clients into L&D plans and initiatives.
• Provide input to curriculum design and development for learner experiences.
• Collaborate with HR partners to integrate learning with talent initiatives.
• Deliver training and support local SMEs as needed.
• Partner to define business and learning outcomes and measure impact.
• Ensure coherent, efficient, and strategically aligned L&D planning and implementation.
• Deliver or facilitate training content and coach local L&D staff or SMEs.
• Ensure accurate forecasts and risk management.
