Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in the United States seeks an Associate Director of Global Learning & Development for Oncology.

This leadership role advisors business leaders, translates business goals into learning strategies, and oversees design and delivery through internal and external partners to accelerate capability development. The position emphasizes building sponsorship, aligning short/long-term learning plans with business priorities, and measuring impact against metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Combination of experience in facilitating / delivering learning solutions, sales and/or relevant pharmaceutical/oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for the Oncology Business Leaders.
• Align business leaders on implications of decisions on employee learning and development.
• Develop depth of business understanding to maximize relevance and impact on business outcomes.
• Determine learning strategies and plans based on identified needs and gaps.
• Prioritize and manage portfolio of work and overall Learner Experience.
• Create line of sight for divisional clients into L&D plans and resources.
• Provide input to curriculum design and development for learner experiences.
• Collaborate with HR partners to integrate learning with talent initiatives.
• Deliver training and support local SMEs; coach local L&D colleagues or SMEs as needed.
• Measure and report impact of learning programs against metrics; use data to improve outcomes.
• Ensure coherent and strategically aligned L&D planning and implementation.
• Deliver or facilitate training content; mentor others.
