Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director in Global Learning & Development to partner with Oncology leaders, translating business goals into scalable learning solutions. The role requires shaping strategy, overseeing designer delivery, and building an integrated learning network to accelerate capability development across the organization.

The candidate will collaborate with HR business partners, manage a diverse portfolio, and measure outcomes to drive sustainable business results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Combination of experience in facilitating / delivering learning solutions, sales and/or relevant pharmaceutical/oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to Oncology business leaders on learning strategy and outcomes.
• Develop learning plans aligned to business goals and sponsor initiatives.
• Prioritize portfolio of work and manage learner experience across GL&D.
• Collaborate with HR and external partners to integrate solutions.
• Deliver training content and coach local/global SMEs as needed.
• Define outcomes, measure impact, and use data for continuous improvement.
• Forecasting and risk management for L&D projects.
