Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and support scalable cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kubernetes. You will collaborate with architects, product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing software across modern cloud environments.

This role requires candidates to be based in the United States and to work East Coast business hours, with flexibility for distributed teams and client schedules.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience developing enterprise applications using Java (8/11/17+).
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot, including RESTful services, DI, and microservices.
• Experience building cloud-native apps on AWS with DynamoDB, S3, IAM, and Serverless tech.
• Knowledge of AWS Kubernetes (K8s) and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Spring Batch for large-scale batch processing.
• Experience building and consuming APIs via REST/JSON/OpenAPI.
• Strong IAM and cloud security knowledge.
• Experience with Datadog or similar observability tools.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain scalable microservices, serverless apps, and event-driven architectures.
• Develop batch processing solutions using Spring Batch for large-scale data processing.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs with performance, security, and scalability in mind.
• Troubleshoot production issues via monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile, CI/CD to deliver high-quality software.
