Job summary

Generac is seeking a Systems Support Specialist II to provide on-site IT support at our Waukesha headquarters. You will install, diagnose, repair, and upgrade laptops, desktops, phones, printers, and peripherals while coordinating with the IT team.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, assist with training and documentation, and maintain asset inventories. Occasional after-hours on-call and travel to other facilities may be required.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
2 years in troubleshooting PCs, printers, phone, and network issues
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred
Certifications: MCSE, MCTS, CNA, Avaya, ITIL preferred

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on support by installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading laptops, desktops, phones, printers, scanners and peripherals.
Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues and escalate to higher tiers as needed.
Assist with software training and documentation for end users.
Collaborate with IT staff and vendors to resolve incidents and support remote sites.
Maintain asset inventory and ensure IT policies and security standards are followed.
Support on-call after-hours and weekend coverage as required.
