Job summary

Generac is seeking a Systems Support Specialist II to provide hands-on desktop, device, and telephony support in a manufacturing and office environment. You will troubleshoot PCs, printers, and network issues while coordinating with higher-tier IT experts to resolve complex incidents.

The role involves documenting issues and assisting with system upgrades and migrations. The position requires an Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and 2 years of related troubleshooting

Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2 years of experience troubleshooting PCs, printers, phone and network issues.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and related IT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on support by installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading laptops, desktops, phones, printers and peripherals.
Support higher level specialists with server hardware, operating systems, network infrastructure and telephony through troubleshooting incidents by phone or virtual tools.
Document issues with triage prioritization, closure actions and escalation as needed to reduce downtime.
Create documentation on new issues resolved, root cause analysis and troubleshooting steps.
Assist in implementing business systems and manufacturing initiatives delivering configurations and end-user desktop support.
