Job summary

The California State University in San Jose is seeking an IT Support Specialist to deliver high-quality direct IT technical support for faculty, staff and students within the College of Business, with additional support to other CSU-supported colleges.

The role involves configuring remote management, inventory, and security systems to meet CSU IT standards, patching and updating applications and OSs, and collaborating with IT staff.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Additional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Four (4) years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• IT Workstation Support and Maintenance: Provide high-quality IT services for lifecycle support and management of workstations used by employees and students.
• IT Support for College and Departmental Technologies: Provide IT technical support and coordination unique to the College of Business.
