Job summary

TEKsystems in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Senior IT Support Engineer to deliver end-user desktop, server, network and security support for a satellite office. You will troubleshoot, guide users and resolve technology requests with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

This role requires onsite and remote support, ticket management, documentation, and collaboration with facilities and vendors. A strong background in Windows Server, AD, Exchange, and networking is essential, along

Qualifications

8+ years of technical user support experience.
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in information technology or related field.
Experience in highly secure and confidential environments; commitment to maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
In-person presence in accordance with hybrid schedule (office four days per week).

Responsibilities

Provide onsite and remote IT support for desktops, laptops, devices and peripherals.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; communicate progress to users.
Manage support tickets, document resolutions and follow up to ensure completion.
Lead desktop support projects such as OS migrations, patch management and hardware upgrades.
Coordinate with external vendors for requests, tasks and escalated issues.
Develop and maintain IT process documentation and knowledge base.
