Job summary

GovCIO seeks a Senior IT Project Manager to lead mission-critical infrastructure modernization for the U.S. Coast Guard from our Alexandria, VA location. This hybrid role requires coordinating parallel network refreshes, OOB management deployments, and legacy VSAT transitions across USCG sites.

You will develop schedules, manage budgets, and serve as the primary liaison with government leadership and vendors, ensuring regulatory compliance and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience.
• PMP or equivalent federal project management certification.
• Experience managing large-scale federal contracts or enterprise IT deployments (DoD/DHS/USCG preferred).
• Experience deploying OOB management architectures for remote network resilience.
• Knowledge of satellite communications and legacy VSAT transitions.
• Excellent verbal and written communications with government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute multiple parallel IT infrastructure projects from initiation through closure.
• Define scope, build WBS, maintain schedules, and manage critical paths.
• Identify and mitigate technical, logistical, and timeline risks; develop contingency plans.
• Serve as primary contact for USCG leadership, technical leads, and vendors; ensure SLAs and military regs.
• Manage project budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and procurement workflows.
• Coordinate network engineers, field technicians, site readiness, and security teams.
• Quality-check all deliverables, engineering docs, change tickets, and MSRs.
• Drive efficiencies by applying best practices aligned with USCG and federal standards.
