Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company seeks an IT Services Senior Manager to direct IT activities across infrastructure, cloud, and security, ensuring continuous service delivery and alignment with business needs.

You will lead technical planning, budgeting, and strategic solutions, while managing staff, coordinating with stakeholders, and driving governance to meet DoD 8140 security standards and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7–10 years of experience in Information Technology.
• 5+ years of experience managing IT staff.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial and open-source IT hardware, software, and services.
• Ability to manage matrixed teams and drive cross-team collaboration.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Strategic thinking and long-term planning with new technology adoption.
• Candidates must have a current security clearance and meet DoD 8140 standards (Security+ minimum).

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct IT-related activities across infrastructure, applications, networks, cloud, and security.
• Ensure continuity of computer, network, and application services through leadership and oversight.
• Align IT services with business processes and customer requirements.
• Perform technical analysis, estimation, design reviews, and risk assessment.
• Forecast costs and budgets for IT projects and operations.
• Recommend hardware/software upgrades for IT assets.
• Develop systems, policies, and standards to enhance service delivery and security.
• Audit systems, ensure data security, and manage backups and recovery.
• Identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement strategic improvements.
• Prepare long-range system plans and validate implementations through audits.
• Analyze business/user needs and propose scalable technical solutions.
• Lead, mentor, and manage staff, including performance reviews and policy enforcement.
