Job summary

Sysco is seeking an IT Local Support Specialist to assist ST support teams with end-user technology support across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers. The role includes training staff on service-entry processes, prioritizing requests, and ensuring adherence to corporate standards.

You will handle hardware/software issues, participate in hardware refreshes, and provide after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

HS Diploma and 5+ years of end-user technology support experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to train local staff on entering service requests and prioritizing tickets.
Proficient in troubleshooting Windows and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Prioritize support calls using the enterprise ticketing system and update tickets with progress, escalating aging tickets.
Procure equipment and parts for workstations and peripherals from approved standards.
Ensure software/hardware standards per Corporate guidance.
Contribute to policy/procedure development and license compliance.
Imaging workstations using standard images and maintaining security policies.
Provide on-site support and knowledge transfer to the Desktop/Laptop team.
Assist with Order Entry application administration and support.
Support printers, network devices, and coordinate third-party on-site repairs.
Participate in special projects including product evaluations and roadmap planning.
Maintain hot spare laptops/desktops and assist end users with the ticketing system.
