Job summary

Sysco in Houston is seeking an onsite IT Local Support Specialist to assist BT teams with hardware and software support for workstations, laptops, printers, network gear, and mobile devices. This role requires 5 days onsite with potential for additional days as needed.

You will train staff, help develop policies, coordinate OS deployments, manage tickets, and ensure security, licensing, and backups while staying aligned with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and at least 5 years of end-user technology support experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to interact with management.
• Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office, and remote support tools.
• Experience with supporting, installing, configuring Order Entry applications.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and manage enterprise tickets with updates and escalations.
• Procure equipment and peripherals per standards.
• Ensure software and hardware standards per Corporate guidance.
• Contribute to policies and procedures development.
• Maintain software license compliance.
• Image workstations using standard images.
• Maintain system security policy.
• Provide on-site support and knowledge transfer to teams.
• Support Order Entry applications and admin tasks.
• Assist with desktop hardware relocation.
