Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager to gather, analyze, and translate business needs into detailed system requirements.

You will lead process-improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies and work closely with users, IT staff, and stakeholders to design effective solutions and automate processes. The role requires mentoring colleagues, developing test plans for UAT, and contributing to PMO processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Business, Business Process Improvement, Informatics or Engineering.
• Five (5) years or more Business Analysis or Project Management required.
• Five (5) years or more Experience in Systems Development and Project Management preferred.
• Different business analysis techniques advanced required.
• Ryder business knowledge / practices / processes advanced preferred.
• Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Responsibilities

• Liaison between the business and IT groups during the development and implementation of new systems and enhancements.
• Employs process improvement practices and techniques to analyze and recommend solutions that will improve efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.
• Facilitates requirements by organizing gathering sessions and other related events and describes processes, systems, and services to fulfill requests.
• Records/updates business and functional requirements/specifications for reports, systems, or applications.
• Conducts feasibility and economic studies to justify automation or process improvement; creates measures of success.
• Mentor and train other Business Analysts.
• Develops test plans and scripts for user acceptance testing.
• Assists in developing PMO processes and procedures for all Business Analyst activities.
