Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation is seeking an IT Application Development Senior/Specialist to lead Agile development teams and mentor engineers. The role focuses on developing and maintaining .NET-based applications, databases, and SaaS solutions, with strong emphasis on code quality, architecture, and timely delivery.

The position offers hybrid/remote work options and requires extensive experience with .NET, SQL, and modern web technologies to support state transportation systems

Qualifications

Ten (10) years of recent professional experience developing and enhancing applications.
Experience with Visual Studio, C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JQuery, MVC/MV C, WPF, ADO, WCF, JSON.
Ability to learn and grow; ability to meet the needs of others.

Responsibilities

Lead development of Agile product teams and mentor staff.
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications and interfaces.
Design, develop, and implement .NET-based solutions and SaaS products.
Coordinate between multiple technical teams to resolve issues.
Participate in Incident Response and Problem Management.
