State of Washington is seeking an IT Application Development Senior Specialist to design, develop, and deliver software solutions addressing complex business needs. You will work on enterprise applications, including Dynamics 365, and mentor peers to strengthen technical capabilities.

The role emphasizes technical design, performance, testing, and documentation, with a hybrid/telework arrangement and potential travel within Washington state.

Qualifications

• Four years of software development experience.
• At least four years of experience with C#, TypeScript, SQL Server, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in logical data modeling and relational data architecture.
• Experience in resolving application defects and performance issues with changing business requirements.
• Experience with life-cycle management of modern application development.
• Experience with agile, scrum, iterative, or waterfall development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• ADA compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and configure software solutions using .Net or other languages.
• Lead by collaborating with analysts, testers, developers, PMs, and end users to elicit requirements.
• Prepare documentation for the maintenance of software applications.
• Perform data modeling and design normalized databases.
• Write well-structured, maintainable code in C# and other languages.
• Create ETL processes to move data between systems.
• Provide educated estimates for effort and duration of work.
• Maintain high-quality standards through unit testing and code reviews.
