Washington State Department of Transportation seeks two Senior/Specialist Application Developers to lead technical teams and drive modernization of enterprise applications across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Responsibilities include defining design standards, guiding CI/CD and IaC efforts, and aligning project delivery with business needs across multiple divisions such as Traffic, Accounting, GIS, and Transportation Data.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in the full software development lifecycle for enterprise applications.
• Design maintainable technical solutions and lead development standards.
• Proficient in C# and .NET with Web API, ASP.NET Webforms and MVC.
• Deep SQL Server skills: stored procedures, queries, data transformations.
• Understand IT architecture, standards and security practices.
• Strong communication with senior management, customers and peers.
• Experience supervising teams and coordinating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modernize, and maintain enterprise applications and APIs.
