Job summary

Washington State Department of Labor & Industries is seeking an IT Application Development Senior/Specialist to act as technical lead for Agile product teams, guiding development of high-visibility systems with agency-wide impact. You will mentor staff in .NET, coding standards, and best practices while planning software strategies and SaaS solutions.

This role emphasizes collaboration across teams, design and implement solutions with .NET, SQL Server, SaaS, and COTS, and ensure timely delivery

Qualifications

• Ten years of professional experience developing and enhancing applications with Visual Studio, C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JQuery, MVC, WPF, ADO, WCF, JSON.
• Experience writing and accessing database code using T-SQL, stored procedures, and Entity Framework.
• Experience performing unit testing and applying development standards in a managed environment.

Responsibilities

• Technical Lead: develop roadmaps for complex systems with statewide or multi-agency impact and align to architecture.
• Application Development: build and maintain applications, interfaces, and web services; mentor teams.
• SDLC and Process Documentation: plan, analyze, design, develop, test, and ensure standards.
• Research: evaluate emergent technologies and determine adoption for implementation.
• Incident Response and Problem Management participation to identify solutions.
