Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for 100% onsite work at our El Segundo facility in California. You will work with the ISSM to ensure compliance with NIST SPs, DoD directives, and company policies across NISPOM Chapter 8, DAAPM, and JSIG policies.

You will assess system security, manage documentation, and support RMF processes while mentoring teams and ensuring secure operations in a DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Experience with DoD classified operating and/or laboratory environments is preferred.
• Experience with information system security tools addressing vulnerability analysis and mitigation. These may include Splunk, Forcepoint, Ivanti, Tenable, ACAS, HBSS, etc.
• Familiarity with RMF processes and government regulatory compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring system compliance, auditing, security plan development and delivering information systems security education and awareness.
• Investigating information system security violations and helping prepare reports with corrective and preventative actions.
• Reviewing and approving configuration management requests within authority.
• Conducting technical and administrative assessments and integrating new cybersecurity processes and tools.
