Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our McKinney, Texas facility, onsite. The candidate will work with the ISSM to ensure compliance with NIST, JSIG, and DAAPM policies and to maintain secure information systems across DoD-aligned environments.

The role requires a U.S. citizen with an active security clearance and 5+ years of related experience, preferably in DoD or government-driven security programs.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years in security.
• Experience with RMF, NISPOM, JSIG, and other DoD security frameworks is preferred.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity tools addressing vulnerability analysis and mitigation.
• Experience in DoD classified operating/laboratory environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments and DISA STIGs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring system compliance, auditing, security plan development and delivering security education.
• Investigating information system security violations and preparing corrective actions reports.
• Reviewing and approving configuration management requests within authority.
• Conducting technical and administrative assessments and integrating new cybersecurity processes.
