Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our cybersecurity team onsite at our El Segundo facility. The role reports to the ISSM and ensures adherence to NIST SPs, DAAPM, JSIG, and NISPOM across the program.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of related experience, strong RMF/JSIG knowledge, and the ability to implement security controls, develop documentation, and lead training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Active security clearance and ability to work onsite in El Segundo.
• Experience with RMF, JSIG, NISPOM, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Strong auditing, reporting, and documentation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring system compliance, auditing, security plan development and delivering information systems security education and awareness.
• Investigating information system security violations and preparing corrective and preventative action reports.
• Reviewing and approving configuration management requests within authority.
• Conducting technical and administrative assessments.
• Integrating new cybersecurity processes, procedures, and tools.
• Support the creation, review and update of cybersecurity documentation and other technical writing.
