Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in McKinney, TX to ensure compliance with NIST SPs, customer directives, and policies. The role interfaces with the ISSM to maintain security posture for the organization.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, a current Secret clearance, and a track record in RMF/JSIG-based programs within DoD or defense-related environments. This is an onsite position with strong emphasis on documentation and collaboration.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience is typically required.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance (Secret) required on day 1.
• Experience with RMF, JSIG, NISPOM and related compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring system compliance and auditing.
• Investigating information system security violations and preparing reports with corrective actions.
• Reviewing and approving (within authority) configuration management requests.
• Conducting technical and administrative security assessments.
• Supporting creation and update of cybersecurity documentation and training.
