Job summary

RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) II for 100% onsite work in McKinney, TX. The ISSO oversees cybersecurity compliance, reviews and writes documentation, mentors ISSOs, and ensures policy implementation across programs.

Requirements include a degree or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience, DoD/NIST/JSIG guidance familiarity, and certifications like Security+.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• IAM Level I certification (Security+ or other)
• Experience with RMF, JSIG, NISPOM or other government regulatory frameworks
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments, databases and networks

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving configuration management requests (within authority)
• Conducting technical and administrative assessments
• Integrating new Cybersecurity processes, procedures and tools
• Support ISSOs and Cybersecurity Managers in the creation, review and update of Cybersecurity documentation
• Oversee ISSOs to ensure implementation of policies and procedures
