Job summary

RTX’s cybersecurity team seeks a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) II to support operations at our El Segundo, California facility. This 100% onsite role expects leadership in compliance oversight, assessments, and guidance on DoD/NIST RMF, JSIG, and related standards.

As a SME, you will mentor ISSOs, develop security documentation, and coordinate with cybersecurity managers. Travel to other RTX sites is anticipated (10–20%).

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• IAM Level I certification (Security+ or other)
• Experience with cybersecurity, systems security or hardening; information technology; and compliance-based auditing using RMF, JSIG, NISPOM, and other standards.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving configuration management requests within authority.
• Conducting technical and administrative assessments.
• Integrating new cybersecurity processes, procedures and tools.
• Support ISSOs and Cybersecurity Managers in creating, reviewing and updating cybersecurity documentation.
• Oversee ISSOs to ensure implementation of policies and procedures.
