Job summary

RTX is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for our El Segundo, CA facility. This onsite role requires a DoD Secret clearance (ability to obtain) and focuses on system compliance, audit readiness, and security awareness across programs.

You will work with the ISSM, facility security, and government representatives to uphold NISPOM, DAAPM, and JSIG requirements while managing security hardening, change management, and incident response planning.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience with RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, NISPOM, and/or non-defense regulations such as FAA, PCI, ISO 9001, HIPAA.
• Experience with computer technologies (databases, operating systems, network hardware, software).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start; U.S. citizenship required.
• Familiarity with DoD classified environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure system compliance, auditing, security plan development, and information systems security education.
• Assist in investigating information system security violations and prepare corrective actions.
• Collaborate with facility security, program personnel, and government representatives.
• Support security sustainment activities (hardware/software change management, account management, media protection).
• Maintain documentation and reporting of security posture.
