Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Sr. Process and Tooling Engineer to lead ISBM tooling projects and oversee mold qualification, process validation, and optimization across manufacturing sites.

You will collaborate with Product Development, R&D, Operations, and Quality to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient tooling solutions. Requirements include a 4-year engineering degree, 5–8 years in plastics packaging, and experience with ISBM tooling, DOE, and statistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Plastics Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in plastics packaging manufacturing, process engineering, tooling engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• Experience with Injection Stretch Blow Molding tooling (ISBM).
• Experience with mold qualification, validation, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
• PET packaging industry experience preferred.
• Experience with DOE and statistical analysis.
• Experience supporting production startup and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead ISBM tooling projects from concept to implementation, including design reviews and vendor coordination.
• Optimize molding processes to meet dimensional, visual, and performance specs at designed cycle times.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Train plant personnel on tooling systems and process control; mentor technicians and engineers.
• Support process validations, capability studies, and production readiness assessments.
• Manage tooling databases, documentation, and supplier performance.
