Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC in Detroit, MI, seeks a Sr. Process and Tooling Engineer to lead ISBM tooling projects, develop processes, and validate new molds across operations. You will collaborate with Product Development, Operations, and Quality to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

The role requires mold qualification, DOE studies, and equipment validation, with strong technical leadership and a focus on continuous improvement across the manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing/Plastic Engineering or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5–8 years in plastics packaging or related field.
• Experience with ISBM tooling, mold qualification, validation, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead ISBM tooling projects from concept through implementation and qualification.
• Optimize molding processes to meet specs and cycle times.
• Perform DOE, statistics, and process validations across locations.
• Develop standards, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
