Job summary

INTECON is hiring a Senior Internal Control Subject Matter Expert to support ARNG G8 RMIC on-site at Arlington Hall Station in Arlington, VA. The role requires a Secret clearance and a strong federal internal controls background, with responsibilities spanning regulatory guidance, assurance packages, and enterprise risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• 12+ years of internal control, audit readiness, or financial management experience in federal environments.
• Expert working knowledge of OMB Circular A-123, FMFIA, GAO Green Book, and DoD FM Regulation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the program’s principal technical authority on internal control standards including A-123, FMFIA, and GAO Green Book.
• Develop and deliver RMIC training to ARNG stakeholders according to the project plan.
• Prepare and submit the annual Statement of Assurance with supporting evidence.
• Document meetings, after-action reports, and notes within 24 hours of training sessions.
• Review annual assurance packages and provide timely, complete submissions.
• Conduct quarterly updates on A-123 and GAO Green Book changes with summaries for leadership.
• Incorporate regulatory revisions into future internal control assessments and training materials.
• Maintain repository of lessons learned and best practices for RMIC.
• Submit formal notices of findings with supporting evidence and scoring.
• Develop a long-term sustainment strategy and final program report with a roadmap.
