Job summary

Southland Industries seeks a senior corporate communications professional to shape and implement internal communications strategy. You will partner with business leaders, craft executive messaging, and lead campaigns that engage employees across our enterprise.

You will develop governance standards, collaborate with HR, IT, and regional teams, and continuously improve channels and assets to ensure consistent, high-quality messaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in corporate communications or employee engagement.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise communication and change management campaigns.
• Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and executive communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of SharePoint, Viva Engage, Microsoft Teams, and enterprise communication platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develops communication plans for company initiatives, organizational changes, and employee programs.
• Develops communications for key Southland leadership, applying voice and style to match personas.
• Advises cross-functional stakeholders on messaging, timing, channels, and engagement.
• Identifies opportunities to improve communication effectiveness and employee experience.
• Establishes governance, editorial standards, and guidelines across internal channels.
• Translates complex information into clear, engaging communications with regional teams.
• Manages campaigns supporting culture, safety, and business transformation.
