Job summary

MITRE seeks a senior internal communications leader who can both lead and do. This player/coach will set enterprise employee communications strategy, advise senior leaders, build high-impact internal campaigns, strengthen manager communications, and create and deliver communications across channels.

The role will help employees understand what is changing, why it matters, what is expected of them, and how their work contributes to organizational outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Experience leading internal or employee communications in large, complex organizations.
• Proven ability to design enterprise communications strategies and campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise employee communications strategy and editorial agenda.
• Design and execute integrated internal campaigns from insight to delivery.
• Create and edit high-quality communications including toolkits, FAQs, and stories.
• Govern employee channels (intranet, email, signage) and collaborate across teams.
• Build manager communications capability with cascades and materials.
• Use analytics and feedback to improve messaging and outcomes.
• Coordinate communications for organizational change with HR, Legal, Security, and Operations.
