Job summary

Flagship Pioneering is seeking a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to develop and execute internal communications strategies that inform, engage, and connect Flagship and its ecosystem employees with the mission of inventing breakthrough companies.

This role manages intranet, newsletters, digital signage, email, and executive communications, partnering with leadership, HR, and cross-functional teams to align messaging with strategic initiatives and culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, journalism, English, marketing, HR, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive internal communications experience.
• Proven ability to develop and execute internal comms plans.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling with attention to detail.
• Experience guiding leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Experience using analytics to evaluate effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communications plans for Flagship's business and ecosystem of 40+ companies.
• Create content for internal channels: emails, newsletters, digital signage, internal messaging platforms, events, executive comms.
• Manage intranet and develop editorial calendars and priorities across channels.
• Partner with leadership, HR, and functions to ensure consistent, timely communications.
• Design campaigns to support employee engagement, onboarding, and internal brand storytelling.
• Serve as a trusted partner, guiding messaging, audience strategy, and timing for complex issues.
• Establish feedback loops to measure effectiveness and improve tone and channel performance.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen employee experience through storytelling and executive visibility.
