Job summary

New York Public Library is seeking a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to lead the Library’s internal communications strategy and major channels, including the new intranet migration. You will advise leaders on messaging for strategic priorities and ensure consistent, credible, and engaging communications across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Library’s internal communications strategy in alignment with the Five-Year Strategy.
• Advise leaders on messaging, audience, tone, timing, sequencing, and channels for strategic priorities.
• Build relationships across the Library to understand culture and communication needs.
• Manage primary internal communications channels (Lair, The Roar, all-staff emails) and editorial calendar.
• Lead the intranet implementation, migration, governance, and adoption with IT and content owners.
• Write, edit, and produce executive messages, newsletters, intranet content, announcements, FAQs, and presentations.
• Coordinate institution-wide communications and contribute to employee engagement initiatives.
• Gather and analyze employee feedback to improve content, channels, and processes.
