Job summary

LCS is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist to develop and deliver engaging employee communications that inform, connect, and inspire across the organization. You will partner with Human Resources and leaders to shape strategies that support initiatives, strengthen culture, and boost engagement.

Reporting to the Corporate Communications Director, you will manage intranet content, newsletters, events, and targeted campaigns, applying storytelling and data to measure impact and improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, PR, or related field.
• 4–6 years in internal/corporate communications or public relations, healthcare or senior living preferred.
• Proven success developing and measuring employee communication/engagement programs.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience planning employee events, town halls, and engagement initiatives.
• Strong project management with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and proactive approach.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with AP Style and content management platforms (SharePoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Lead internal communications initiatives on behalf of HR across enterprise messaging.
• Write, develop, edit, and manage intranet content, newsletters, and presentations.
• Administer the LCS intranet, publish content, and train contributors.
• Partner with leaders to develop strategies that support priorities and culture.
• Provide communications support for company events and initiatives.
• Develop measurable internal communications plans to increase awareness and engagement.
• Manage the enterprise internal communications calendar with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate to nominate for employer recognition and awards.
• Monitor impact using feedback and engagement metrics; implement improvements.
• Leverage AI tools to advance and streamline work.
