New York University (NYU) invites applications for a senior communications leader within the Division of Libraries (DoL). Lead the development and execution of comprehensive communications strategy, elevating the DoL’s profile with the NYU community and the public.

You will partner with the Dean and senior leaders to translate priorities into compelling messaging, oversee DoL communications, NYU TV, and budgeting, and oversee staff and consultants while advancing accessibility and inclusive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years of professional experience in strategic communication/marketing with leadership experience.
• 3+ years marketing in an academic institution preferred.
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of accessibility guidelines for print and digital publications.

Responsabilités

• Lead the communications strategy for the Division of Libraries and serve as subject-matter expert.
• Partner with the Dean and senior leadership to articulate mission and priorities.
• Develop innovative, forward-thinking communications and showcase impact.
• Oversee NYU TV operations and video production to expand visibility.
• Direct internal communications from the Dean’s Office to keep staff informed.
• Manage communications staff, consultants, and the communications budget.
• Utilize content analytics to evaluate effectiveness and optimize messaging.
• Ensure alignment with university standards and crisis messaging.
