Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States seeks an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead BIM workflows for transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to deliver federated, clash-checked results.

You will run Navisworks clash detection, enforce CADD/BIM standards, mentor staff, ensure model health and interoperability, and engage with clients and subconsultants to meet requirements.

Qualifications

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, structures, roadway, and MEP.
• Strong knowledge of transit agency and DOT design standards.
• Expert fluency with Autodesk modeling tools for coordination.
• Excellent communication with strong attention to detail.
• Flexible team player who adapts to changing requirements.
• Ability to train and mentor production staff across offices.
• Proficient with MS Office for design-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intelligent models across disciplines into a single federated, clash-checked model.
• Run Navisworks clash detection and guide multidisciplinary resolution.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentor production staff with design sketches and guidance.
• Ensure model health, versioning, and interoperability across Autodesk tools.
• Review supplier/fabricator prints and assist in design calculations.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans and advise on LOE and deliverables.
• Interface with clients and subconsultants on requirements.
