Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to support transit and multimodal projects in the United States. You will coordinate intelligent models across architecture, structures, transportation, roadway, and MEP, ensuring federated, clash-checked deliverables.

You will run Navisworks clash detection, enforce BIM standards, and mentor production staff across offices while assisting with model health, versioning, and interoperability across Autodesk tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with CADD drafting training.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic/international travel may be required; travel up to 10% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinates deliverables across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into a single federated model.
• Model coordination & clash detection — runs clash detection in Navisworks and leads resolution across disciplines.
• Standards & governance — establishes, documents, and enforces CADD/BIM standards and workflows.
• Mentorship & guidance — mentors production staff and provides design sketches for finished drawings.
• Acts as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for projects to ensure coordination between design teams.
• Performs crosschecks of drawings for consistency and adherence to QC standards.
• Provides basic to advanced modeling and model health checks across Autodesk toolset.
