Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate models across architecture, structures, transportation, roadway design, and MEP into a federated, clash-checked deliverable through the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include running Navisworks clash detection, upholding BIM standards, mentoring staff, and ensuring data handoff to clients and subconsultants. Travel may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinates deliverables across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into a federated, clash-checked model.
• Model coordination & clash detection — runs clash detection in Navisworks and leads resolution across disciplines.
• Standards & governance — establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentorship & guidance — mentors production staff and provides design sketches for finished drawings.
• Interfaces with clients and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements and data handoff standards.
• Performs CADD/technical support tasks and verifies model integrity.
