Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States seeks an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate models across architecture, vertical and transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into a federated, clash-checked deliverable.

Proficiency in Navisworks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit is required. You will lead clash detection, mentor staff, develop BIM Execution Plans, and interface with clients and subconsultants; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational CADD training.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Mentor production staff across offices to build a repeatable capability.
• Acts as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator during the project lifecycle for coordination between design team.
• Crosscheck drawings for consistency and adherence to QC standards.
• Verify model integrity and interoperability across Autodesk tools.
• Review manufacturer prints to aid design documents.
• Determine material needs and perform calculations per standards.
• Provide conceptual input during planning stages and support field assignments.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans and advise on LOE and deliverables.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on requirements.
• Perform related engineering support tasks and coordination.
