Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to join the Startup Integrated Planning team within GEMS. You will lead a team of contracted planners, shaping strategy and ensuring high-quality, integrated schedules across large-scale projects.

The role requires navigating ambiguity, strategic thinking, and strong scheduling expertise to mature planning practices at scale. Up to 50% travel within the US/Canada and relocation support may be provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years owning program strategy and delivering results to senior leadership.
• Experience with cross-functional partners (tech and non-tech).
• Ability to manage ambiguous challenges with problem-solving skills.
• Experience with integrated scheduling and planning discipline.

Responsibilities

• Shape workforce and vendor strategy for contracted planners and scale with portfolio growth.
• Oversee contracted planners: set expectations, provide training, review quality, support escalations.
• Track budgets, manage invoicing, and provide funding inputs for planning resources.
• Refine quality standards for integrated schedules and connect timelines into a single source of truth.
• Develop governance to validate schedule quality at scale and ensure timely status reporting.
