Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to join the Startup Integrated Planning team within the Global Engineering, Materials, & Sustainability (GEMS) organization.

This role leads a team of contracted planners, shaping integrated schedules for North America's infrastructure portfolio and guiding large-scale new builds and retrofits. The role requires navigating ambiguity, strategic thinking, and strong experience in integrated scheduling to scale planning maturity and deliver consistent,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, lookups, data cleansing).
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
• Cross-functional collaboration with tech and non-tech teams.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience handling ambiguous challenges with strong problem solving.
• 5+ years of integrated scheduling experience with MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Experience applying AI tools and automation to scale operations.

Responsibilities

• Shape and advance workforce and vendor strategy for planners at scale.
• Oversee contracted project planners: set expectations, train, review quality.
• Assign and rebalance planners across projects based on priority.
• Track project budgets and provide funding inputs for planning resources.
• Refine quality standards for integrated project schedules and governance.
• Design governance mechanisms to validate schedule quality at scale.
• Ensure weekly planning status reports are accurate and distributed.
• Develop risk and reporting frameworks for portfolio decisions.
