Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to join the Startup Integrated Planning team within the GEMS organization. The role leads a team of contracted planners, aligning schedules across large infrastructure projects in North America.

You will drive strategy, governance, and continuous improvement for integrated planning, leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency. Willingness to travel up to 50% and relocate near an office is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years of owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Experience with cross-functional teams and tech/non-tech stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of integrated scheduling experience with MS Project/Primavera P6 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Shape and advance the workforce and vendor strategy for contracted planners and scale with portfolio growth.
• Oversee contracted project planners: set expectations, train on planning standards, review deliverables, support escalations.
• Assign and rebalance planners across projects based on priority and workload.
• Track project budgets, manage invoicing, and provide funding inputs for planning resources.
• Refine quality standards for integrated project schedules and ensure they form a single source of truth.
• Develop governance mechanisms to validate schedule quality at scale and reduce manual review.
• Ensure weekly planning status reports are accurate and distributed on time.
• Track planning health via KPI dashboards for schedule integrity and milestones.
• Build program-level partnerships with design, operations, construction, IT, and engineering.
