Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to join the Startup Integrated Planning team within the Global Engineering, Materials, & Sustainability (GEMS) organization.

You will lead a team of contracted planners, maturing planning processes and ensuring unified, high-quality schedules across North America infrastructure projects. This role requires up to 50% travel within the US and Canada, working from a corporate office when not traveling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Shape and advance workforce and vendor strategy for contracted planners.
• Oversee contracted project planners: set expectations and review deliverables.
• Assign and rebalance planners across projects based on priority and workload.
• Track project budgets, manage invoicing, and provide funding inputs for planning resources.
• Refine and enforce quality standards for integrated project schedules.
• Design and implement governance mechanisms to validate schedule quality at scale.
• Ensure weekly planning status reports are accurate and distributed on time.
• Track planning health via KPI dashboards measuring schedule integrity and delivery dates.
• Build and maintain relationships with design, operations, construction, and IT teams to drive planning adoption.
