Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Program Manager to join the Startup Integrated Planning team within the GEMS organization. The role oversees a team of contracted project planners and drives standardized, scalable integrated scheduling across North America infrastructure projects.

The position requires strategic thinking, ability to navigate ambiguity, and strong experience in planning maturity, governance, and data-driven decision making. Up to 50% travel is possible with relocation assistance offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years of process improvement using data and metrics.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and stakeholder management.
• Integrated scheduling experience with MS Project or Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Shape workforce and vendor strategy for contracted planners.
• Oversee contracted planners: training, quality review, escalations.
• Assign planners across projects based on priority and workload.
• Track budgets, invoicing, and funding inputs.
• Enforce quality standards linking schedules into a single source of truth.
• Design governance mechanisms to validate schedule quality.
• Ensure weekly planning status reports are accurate and timely.
• Develop and refine risk and reporting frameworks for leadership.
