Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join the Startup Integrated Planning team within the GEMS organization in Bellevue, WA. The role oversees a team of contracted planners, aligning schedules and driving scalable planning across large infrastructure projects.

You will shape vendor strategy, enforce planning standards, and lead governance to ensure high-quality, data-driven updates for senior leadership. Occasional travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
• Experience with integrated scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera P6) and AI-driven automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shape and advance the workforce and vendor strategy for contracted planners, including capacity modeling and procurement negotiations.
• Oversee contracted project planners: set expectations, provide training on planning standards, review deliverable quality, and support escalations.
• Assign and rebalance planners across projects based on priority, complexity, and workload.
• Track project budgets, manage invoicing, and provide funding inputs for planning resources.
• Ensure weekly planning status reports are accurate, complete, and distributed on time to stakeholders.
