Kin Insurance, a remote-first company, seeks an Insurance Counsel - Forms to translate aggressive state and product expansion into filing-ready policy language for personal auto or property lines. You will anchor a line, advise internal partners, and review AI-assisted drafts for regulatory accuracy.

You’ll draft complete state and product forms packages, collaborate with Claims, Product, and Customer Experience, and ensure compliance with regulators during audits and market conduct exams.

Qualifications

• JD required and 5+ years of forms drafting experience.
• Experience drafting policy forms for multiple states.
• Ability to read state statutes and translate into policy language.
• Draft responses to regulator objections and advocates for Kin’s position.
• Provide coverage interpretation and wording advice to internal partners.
• Independently draft complete state and product forms packages.

Responsibilities

• Research state statutes and translate into compliant policy wording.
• Draft responses to Department of Insurance objections and advocate for Kin with regulators.
• Advise internal teams on coverage interpretation and form wording.
• Draft base policies, endorsements, and required notices for filing.
• Review AI-assisted drafts for regulatory compliance and accuracy.
• Maintain and update forms packages in response to statutes and DOI bulletins.
