Kin Insurance is seeking an Insurance Counsel - Forms to craft policy language for new state launches. You will own form drafting for your line (personal auto or property) and serve as a regulatory advisor in a remote-first environment across multiple states.

You will review drafts, respond to regulator objections, and help establish reusable language and standards to speed future filings. JD and 5+ years drafting required.

Qualifications

• JD required with 5+ years of policy form drafting or related experience.
• Experience drafting personal lines forms across multiple states.
• Ability to read state statutes/regulations and convert to policy language.
• Draft responses to regulator objections and advocate for Kin's positions.
• Advise internal teams on coverage interpretation and form wording.
• Develop complete state/product forms packages for filing.

Responsibilities

• Research statutes/regulations and translate into compliant policy wording.
• Draft responses to DOI objections and advocate Kin's position with regulators.
• Provide legal advice on coverage interpretation to internal partners.
• Draft new state/product forms packages for your line of business, including notices.
• Perform first-pass legal reviews and escalate novel questions to Senior Counsel.
• Maintain base forms and state kits; ensure updates after statutes/reg bulletins.
