Job summary

Blattner seeks a Lead Engineer – Instrumentation & Controls for its Gas Power Generation team. You will design and review instrumentation and controls for gas engines, turbines, and BOPs, collaborating with clients, OEMs, and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant solutions.

You will mentor junior staff, support commissioning, and drive best practices while traveling up to 25% pre-construction and 70% during construction to project sites and client offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in instrumentation and controls design for industrial projects, preferably power generation.
• 5+ years in instrumentation/controls/communications specification, procurement, install, and commissioning.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent experience.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Define client design criteria and align with evolving energy market trends.
• Travel to client offices/projects to foster relationships and problem-solve.
• Develop or review instrumentation and controls design for power block and BOP.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
